Locate Jersey is delighted to be hosting Island Innovators [un]Conference

Date
31 March 2014

Locate Jersey is delighted to be hosting the Island Innovators [un]Conference in Jersey next week and the whole team would like to personally welcome all of the attendees.

The [un]Conference is a three day, by invitation only event, sponsored by Locate Jersey and Digital Jersey.  Hosted by Internet Entrepreneur Yossi Vardi, the event brings together 175 digital entrepreneurs (40 of these being local), thinkers, opinion makers and influencers from around the world.

Island Innovators will challenge the status quo and encourage debate, discussion, interaction and creativity in a way not normally possible in the confines of normal conference structures or corporate meetings. With fresh thinking about the future of the internet, communications and media, Island Innovators will create an ecosystem and build a community.

Taking inspiration from the surroundings, Island Innovators will be a dynamic, fun, exciting event which will help forge new relationships with key digital thinkers, rising stars and influencers. Over three days there will be over 50 discussion sessions, gadget shows, music, digital art, midnight cooking madness, film screening and an Islanders Gala Finale.

As part of the conference, there is a series of special events so that the Jersey community can take advantage of so many distinguished guests visiting the island:

• On Thursday 3 April, there is an interactive business based education event organised by local students for students featuring some of the most successful global tech entrepreneurs who will share their knowledge and experiences of the business world to the Island’s young people.
• On Friday 4 April, Locate Jersey and Digital Jersey are hosting an interactive business breakfast which comprises of an interview and Q&A session with serial entrepreneur Yossi Vardi discussing how to create a Digital Economy in Jersey to 200 attendees.

Locate Jersey is actively engaged in promoting that Jersey is very much open for business, and we convinced that there are real opportunities for us to work together, particularly within the cutting edge technology sectors.

We wish everyone a very successful [un]Conference and look forward to meeting with you during your time here on our wonderful Island.
