Locate Jersey strengthen team

13 March 2013

Locate Jersey is continuing to strengthen its team with the announcement of two new appointments. Paul Burrows has joined the team as Inward Investment Manager and Emma Martin (née Mathew) has joined as Inward Investment Marketing Manager.

Mr Burrows’ role involves attracting inward investment businesses to Jersey and facilitating international trade with overseas jurisdictions. The role requires developing lasting, positive, relationships with businesses and individuals, drawing on Paul’s background in private client relationship management and business development.

Emma Martin is managing the marketing, communications and events programme for Locate Jersey, promoting Jersey as an attractive location for inward investment businesses and high net worth individuals and raising awareness of the Island’s status as an internationally recognised business and finance centre of excellence.

Commenting on the appointments, Director of Inward Investment and International Trade, Wayne Gallichan says, ‘Paul and Emma’s appointments add strength and depth to the small Locate Jersey team as we continue to increase Jersey’s visibility worldwide and I am delighted to formally welcome them both as part of the team.’

Mr Burrows has 32 years experience in the finance sector and is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments, having recently gained PCIAM qualification. Before moving to Locate Jersey, Paul was a Relationship Manager at S G Hambros Bank before becoming Assistant Vice President at Credit Suisse.
Mrs Martin is a qualified marketing and communications professional. For the past four years, she held the position of Communications Manager at Jersey Finance, managing PR and reputational strategy for the finance industry. Prior roles have included Marketing Manager for Historic Royal Palaces, which involved promoting the Tower of London, Hampton Court and Kensington Palace, and as Consumer Relations and Marketing Executive for Jersey Tourism.
