We would expect that before any application is made, the potential applicant has visited and has become familiar with the Island, including meeting with Officers to further discuss the application.  

Prepare your Application

We can guide you through the application process, advising you or your intermediary on the application and assessment process, criteria to be met and ongoing requirements.

At this time we can also arrange meetings with relevant business contacts, liaise with other Government of Jersey departments on your behalf, and make introductions to any relevant regulator and technical specialists within the appropriate sector-specific representative bodies.

Submitting your Application

The first step is to download and complete the Skilled High Earner Application Form.

Once the application documentation is finalised, it should be submitted in full along with a CV and 3 years financial information, by email, to locatejersey@gov.je

The Approval Process

On receipt, we will review the information for completeness, provide feedback to you, or your intermediary, where needed, and conduct internal checks such as due diligence, regulatory requirements and jurisdictional considerations.

We will assess your final application against the criteria and once the decision is made we will let you know. If your application is approved in principle, the confirmation will include detailed conditions for your Licence.

You will need to formally confirm back to us that you understand and agree to the conditions.

What Next?

You will need to form your business entity of choice. (If you choose to form a Ltd company, you will need to appoint a regulated Corporate Service Provider to act on your behalf in the process)

Once your Business has been formed, you have completed any regulatory requirements, had approvals or undertaken relevant registrations, and after you have let us know your relocation date, your Business Licence and Licensed consent can be issued.
