Locate Jersey to further strengthen China links

27 February 2013

Locate Jersey has announced its support for the prestigious CBBC China Business Conference taking place in London in March 2013.  The Conference promises to be one of the key UK-China business platforms in 2013 and will provide companies with practical knowledge and guidance for working with business counterparts in China.  Locate Jersey is urging any local business with an interest in doing business with China to consider attending the event.

Locate Jersey will be hosting the Conference lunch, where Senator Alan Maclean will give an introductory speech about the key business benefits of relocation providing an excellent opportunity to communicate at the highest level that Jersey is ‘open for business’. Key note speeches at the conference will be given by Rt Hon Ken Clarke QC MP and Minister for UK Government; Sir David Brewer CMG, Chairman of CBBC; Bob Grace, President of Jaguar Land Rover China and a Senior Chinese Representative.

Wayne Gallichan, Director of International Trade and Inward Investment for Locate Jersey says of the Conference: ‘Businesses who attend from Jersey will be able to hear the views of prominent industry and government speakers on key China topics, and network with China experts and business leaders in UK-China trade and investment.  Hosting the lunch at the Conference provides us with an opportunity to create awareness of the Jersey proposition and generate new business leads. Attending the conference will be over 400 leading business and government figures from both the UK and China.

The Conference, which will take place on the 14th March, will cover topics such as the future of China’s urbanisation, the Chinese consumer, China’s outbound investment and examine the impact they will have on UK businesses.
